NBCOlympics.com provides extensive coverage — including video clips of most top performances — of a winter Olympics being held in a foreign land.

In a previous era, this would have been the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Not enough in this day & age. As reported here, American Idol drew more viewers than NBC’s television coverage. And as shown here, YouTube drew more web surfers than NBCOlympics.com.

We can now broadcast our own commercial-free TV shows. Who would have thought amateur videos would do this to the Olympics?
